These are just a few sockeye salmon, also known as Red salmon or "Reds" that have found there way into a small calm offshoot of a tributary steam and set up shop. They turn these brilliant colors before the last moment of glory and then after spawning begin a rapid decline and literally decay as they die. This is a look at why they swim upstream and the behavior once they get to there destination. The Males Morph into a toothy some what aggressive looking ........ Situation. These Salmon survived a long journey and gauntlet of obstacles. Seals, Fishermen, Poles and nets, Bears, Eagles. Perhaps boat props. And likely more.
