Halibut are one of Alaska’s most desirable fish. Halibut fillets often go for more than $20/lb even in Alaska. They live most of their life deep in the ocean. We have been trying for years to catch one from shore. We had a great day fishing for them on the beach surf casting and managed to catch some.
