Ian Harford and Steve Wild are in Wales practicing their long range shooting skills in preparation for their epic hunting in Alaska adventure.

Welcome to Hunting in Alaska - Episode One.

Before tackling the tough conditions that await in the Alaskan wilderness, Ian and Steve spend some quality time setting up their rifles and optics whilst fine tuning their long range shooting skills.

It is important to practice your shooting before any trip, hunting in Alaska will offers many challenges that Ian and Steve must overcome. That's why they have chosen to head to Wales for some one-on-one coaching.

Ian and Steve are in Wales for some long range shooting coaching from experienced instructor Andrew Venables of WMS Firearms Training. Here they learn the art of long-range shooting and how their rifles perform at a variety of extreme hunting ranges.

Ian will be using the Sauer 404 in 338 Win mag, whereas Steve has his Blaser R8 Professional Success in 300 Win Mag. Although the rifles they have chosen are different they both have agreed on the same scopes, the Hawke Frontier 5-30x50 and Endurance binoculars.
