The new best cruise ship to offer cruises in Alaska (starting in May 2019) has been hiding in Asia and Australia for the last two years. But when Royal Caribbean's "Ovation Of The Seas" begins offering Alaska cruises next year, she will be the most state-of-the-art cruise ship (by far) to offer Alaska cruises.
In this video, I'll show you what's so special about Ovation Of The Seas, including several areas of the ship that will offer spectacular views while at the same time offering complete protection from the weather.
I'll also fill you in on some of the little improvements that Royal Caribbean has integrated in to this class of ship (Quantum-class) that offer some nice little benefits that you wouldn't have if you sailed on any of the old ships that the other cruise lines use in Alaska.
Unusual special features on this ship include NorthStar, a viewing pod that rises to 300 feet over ocean level to offer spectacular views... RipCord by iFly, a skydiving simulator... and SeaPlex, the largest indoor active space you'll find on any cruise ship.
