Largest salmon run of the season The OFF GRID BUILD is on hold

This week we have great weather for roof work! so I am going fishing hahahahha
I had every intention of really moving forward on the roof this week, but with the Largest salmon run of the season The OFF GRID build is on hold.

I do get up on the roof, but I have missed fishing and did not do it at all last year so I am taking part in this years sockeye salmon run, eating some fresh fish from the river and I am even going to try my hand at something I have not done in years... smoking some fish!


I am a complete novice builder who grew up in sunny California and thought it would be an awesome idea to build my own off grid cabin on raw land in Alaska...what could go wrong?

I have never built a thing in my life so why not a house? OH! and I can live in a trailer while I do it....and work full time! Did I mention that I am out of shape, over weight and 60? What could go wrong?
