So far things have been going pretty smoothly. We've been taking care of lots of administrative tasks and starting to build the trail. Along the way we have had to remind ourselves that we are in Alaska and it is okay if we don't rush through the development of our land. This week we got a lot of work done as far as clearing a trail and figuring out more of what we want to do. However, we have started to explore the island more and just appreciate the present moment we are in. We sometimes forget how drastic a change this is and get caught up in the future. Which we are trying not to do. Because it is the journey not the destination!
