We go to Alaska almost every spring to hunt black bears. No matter where you hunt black bears, try your best to avoid shooting sows. Sows are the future of the bear population and taking boars is the best way to sustain healthy and robust bear numbers.

In this video we give a few quick ideas about how you can tell a boar from a sow. It takes some practice and a bit of time to learn the differentiating characteristics between boars and sows.
